    Notes
    • From various Danish sources the family von Landsperg / von Hövel can be shown as including Philip and Johann Heinrich Landsperg.

Then there are troubles to be found, not easily sorted out.

Apparently there are only one mother, Helene Engel von Hövel, to all of the children though born in a time spanning from 1668-1710, 45 years. This is close to physically impossible, stronged by evidence of their fathers death around 1700 and their mothers already in 1685.

Geographically the children are born somewhat spead out in Germany; not impossible, but worth to be aware of.

No known sources of the two last children, Philip and Johann Heinrich, tell of a 'von' in their names, opposite to the first three children.

In short: one or more of the currently known sources seem to be wrong. Suspicion is addressed to the Danish book "Vaabenførende Slægter i Danmark" as it points out Gerhard Conrad to be father of Philip, whereafter another Danish book, "Danske skovfolk" draw Johan Heinrich into the family, as a brother to Philip.

Maybe there is a confusion of two generations involved - or of two families? If so a link, a generation, must be missing between Gerhard Conrad and the two brothers going to Denmark. An assumption, which can explain the amount of years between births as well as the problematics arising from these two brothers born after the death of their parents - and furthermore the unlogic abscence of a 'von' in their names.

But if so: who were the parents of Philip and Johan Heinrich?

Information on the matter will be most welcome!
